HYPOBATT now published on the European Commission’s CORDIS platform

The HYPOBATT project is now officially featured on CORDIS – the European Commission’s primary information source for EU-funded research and innovation projects.

The CORDIS project page provides an official overview of HYPOBATT, including its objectives, consortium, funding information and project results. The project, funded under Horizon Europe’s Climate, Energy and Mobility programme, ran from June 2022 until March 2026 and received an EU contribution of approximately €6.66 million.

HYPOBATT addressed one of the key challenges of maritime electrification: the development of fast, modular and interoperable multi-megawatt charging infrastructure for electric vessels. The project combined expertise from across the European maritime, energy, research and technology sectors to develop and demonstrate an integrated charging solution.

The project’s final phase culminated in the real-world demonstration of the developed charging technology in the maritime environment. The results demonstrate the potential of multi-megawatt charging systems to support faster turnaround times and the wider deployment of battery-electric vessels.

The CORDIS platform will provide a lasting reference for the project and its results, allowing researchers, industry representatives, policy makers and other interested stakeholders to discover HYPOBATT and access information about its technological developments and expected impact.
